S/V Waterdancer has been our life, our home for 10 years.
She has served us reliably from the first day we bought her and never let us down.
Her sea punching power with the 66HP Turbo Yanmar has ensured that we always reached our destination.
She accomodates 9 sleeping berths and is a very comfortable sailor.
She was the last of her generation before Irwin closed up shop and they put all the wisdom of a safe, sea worthy comfortable boat into her design.
Her Wing keel ensures smooth and fast sailing and motoring, and in a punch we have been able to motorsail 8.5 knots to safe harbors without any problems.
Because I singlehand a lot I had New England Bow Thruster professionally install a thruster. They are always available should there a need arise for servicing
A inboard Cetrex Auto Pilot keeps her on track so we do mostly hands-off sailing.
The Trusty Generator has kept us warm and cold should we decide to anchor in some extreme conditions, although plenty of hatches usually provide us with plenty of venting,
and the inverter with its separate battery keep fans running all night.
Unfortunately nothing lasts for ever. A sudden illness has forced us to sell her to offset the cost of moving to land.
She is in mechanically near perfect condition, and I am planning to sell her turn-key ready to move on to new adventures.
This is not a bargain quick sale. I am offering Waterdancer at $90,000 in turnkey condition fully varnished and cleaned. It will take some time over the summer to finish the warnishing. If the potential owner is interested in purchasing a boat sooner, I will give a fair discount for the cleanup work.
Unfortunately due to my health reasons I have not been able to arrange to make the boat sale ready, and as everybody knows, there is always something to be fixed.
- Should there be any malfunctions I am willing to discount the price based on estimated professional repair work by a agreed upon reputable boatyard.
- I had a new custom expensive dodger installed this season (see below).
- I will not accept a lowball offer, but give full discount on whatever cleanup an that needs to be done item by item to bring her to 100% condition.
- She is already in very good shape. Everything is cosmetic and she is ready to sail for many more seasons as is.
- She has no leaky hatches or portholes and is a very dry boat but needs warnishing and chaulking should be replaced.
- She would be delivered with new bottom paint.
